The Dictator has climbed its way atop the box office in the UK & Ireland, securing £5 million in its opening weekend to effectively end Avengers Assemble’s three-week reign.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy about an exiled politician who gets stranded in New York matches the results of his previous film Bruno, while beating the opening weekends of both Bridesmaids and The Hangover.
