The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, you’re probably thinking hasn’t that been released already? Short answer yes, long answer no.
Yes it has, but in author Stieg Larsson’s mother tongue of Swedish. He created the books before he died at the age of 50 and the three books have since reached the big screen.
No it hasn’t, this film has been adapted by Sony Columbia and will be released in English (American) with a new cast, which includes James Bond actor, Daniel Craig.
The film is directed by David Fincher of Oscar-winning film The Social Network and if this reworking proves successful, the sequels, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest will be shot back to back by Fincher.
Larsson’s books known as The Millennium Trilogy have altogether sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon.
The plot follows a journalist (Craig) and a computer hacker (Rooney Mara) as they delve into the mystery surrounding a woman that has been missing for forty years.
